This photographic work is based on a personal family history where one of my previous relatives was involved and survived two shipwrecks out on the Atlantic at Coast of Scotland. At after the swells of the tide so the horizon opens up before our feet and at the same time as we are reminded of the sea's changing ability to be a barrier for a landscape that can support both life and death.
